Eddies Defender Shawn Nicklaw Selected to NASL Team of the Week

GK: Jon Busch (Indy Eleven) - The veteran shot-stopper blocked an early penalty-kick attempt to keep the score level and made a total of four saves, while keeping a shuout in a 1-0 win over Minnesota United.

DEF: Brent Kallman (Minnesota United) - While Minnesota fell to Indy, he had a strong performance at the back limiting the Boys in Blue throughout the 90 minutes. He won all three of his tackles, made three interceptions, and also won four of his five duels on the night.

DEF: Kosuke Kimura (Rayo OKC) - He helped stymie Ottawa Fury FC, winning all three of his tackles, while winning three duels and making four clearances. His play helped keep a shutout in a 1-0 road win.

DEF: Shawn Nicklaw (FC Edmonton) - Making his debut for the Eddies, the Guam international put on a strong display in the back line. He won four duels, made three clearances, and had two interceptions as FC Edmonton kept a shutout in a 1-0 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

MID: Dylan Mares (Indy Eleven) - He scored the game-winning goal, cleared a Minnesota United shot off the line, and completed 36 of his 40 passes for an all-around performance to help the Boys in Blue remain unbeaten. His goal was the difference in Indy's win over the Loons.

MID: Nazmi Albadawi (Carolina RailHawks) - The club's captain assisted on the first goal of the game and he would go on to fire home the RailHawks' final two goals in a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Albadawi was named Player of the Week for his efforts.

MID: Jemal Johnson (Jacksonville Armada FC) - He opened up the scoring after side-footing Alex Dixon's cross into the back of the net. He would later return the favor assisting on Dixon's goal in a 2-1 Jacksonville victory over Puerto Rico FC.

MID: Yohandry Orozco (New York Cosmos) - The Venezuelan international was busy in the Cosmos' attack and scored the team's second goal in the 3-2 win over Miami FC.

FWD: Matt Fondy (Carolina RailHawks) - Making his Carolina debut, he made his impact felt. He scored his first NASL and later played a part in earning two penalty kicks in the RailHawks' big victory.

FWD: Alex Dixon (Jacksonville Armada FC) - Getting a start up top, he made the most of it. He supplied an assist and goal in the Armada FC's win.

FWD: Lucky Mkosana (New York Cosmos) - He opened the scoring against Miami FC and then finished the scoring in the game. His two goals helped lift the Cosmos to a victory on the road.
