Mississippi Sea Wolves (5-5-1) at Charlotte Checkers (5-6-1) 7 p.m. ET
- Checkers have won the last two meetings to improve to 9-7-0 all-time against Mississippi.
- Sea Wolves are fourth in the league with 3.73 goals per game.
- Charlotte's Mike Bayrack leads the ECHL with eight power-play assists.
- Mathieu Melanson (1g-3a), Ryan Cruthers (2g-2a) and Kyle McAllister (2g-2a) lead Sea Wolves against Charlotte.

Trenton Devils (2-8-1) at Reading Royals (4-8-0) 7:05 p.m. ET
- Royals have won the last six meetings to improve to 36-32-8 all-time against Trenton.
- Trenton's Ryan Gunderson leads ECHL defensemen with seven power-play assists and 10 power-play points.
- Royals' Brock Hooton is tied for the league lead with two shorthand goals and three shorthand points.
- Devils rookie Tyler Burton had career-high two assists and tied career high with two points Friday at Johnstown.

South Carolina Stingrays (7-2-0) at Gwinnett Gladiators (3-4-2) 7:05 p.m. ET
- Gladiators have won four of the last five meetings at Gwinnett and are 24-11-3 all-time against South Carolina.
- Stingrays' Bobby Goepfert is 3-0-0 and leads ECHL in goals-against average (1.00) and save percentage (.961).
- Gwinnett's Jordan Fox had two points (1g-1a) on Friday and is tied for the team lead with nine points (3g-6a).
- Stingray rookie Michael Dubuc has a three-game goal streak (5g) and a nine-game point streak (9g-6a).

Augusta Lynx (5-4-2) at Florida Everblades (7-2-1) 7:30 p.m. ET
- Everblades lead the ECHL in goals-against average with 2.10.
- Lynx are 4-2-2 on the road with a shootout win and an overtime win.
- Kevin Baker leads Florida with six goals, three power-play goals and 12 points in 10 games.
- Chase Watson leads Augusta with seven assists and is tied for second on the team with seven points.

Johnstown Chiefs (9-3-0) at Dayton Bombers (7-2-1) 7:30 p.m. ET
- Dayton rookie Paul Drew is 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 3.00 in two starts.
- Johnstown rookie defenseman Jon Landry is tied for the ECHL lead with three game-winning goals.
- Chiefs' Kris Mayotte is 5-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.36.
- Bombers' Dan Riedel has a three-game assist streak (4a) and leads the team with nine assists and 13 points.

Wheeling Nailers (6-1-4) at Elmira Jackals (7-4-1) 7:35 p.m. ET
- Jackals have won the last two meetings to improve to 5-0-0 at home and 8-1-0 overall against Wheeling.
- Nailers lead the league on the power play with 25.7 percent (18-for-70) and in scoring with 4.64 goals per game.
- Elmira's Tyler Donati leads the league with 13 assists and is tied for the league lead with 19 points.
- Wheeling's Rob Sirianni (8g-11a) and Tommy Goebel (7g-12a) are tied for the ECHL lead with 19 points.

Stockton Thunder (4-5-2) at Ontario Reign (7-4-1) 7 p.m. PT
- Reign are 5-1-1 in one-goal games including a 3-2 shootout win against Stockton on Wednesday.
- Thunder rookie Bryan Lerg tied career highs with three assists and three points on Friday at Fresno.
- Ontario rookie Geoff Walker is tied for the ECHL lead with 10 power-play points (3ppg-7ppa).
- Stockton is 2-1-2 in its last five games with three shootouts (1-2).

Phoenix RoadRunners (6-4-2) at Victoria Salmon Kings (6-6-1) 7:05 p.m. PT
- Salmon Kings have won the last seven games at Victoria to improve to 7-0-2 at home against Phoenix.
- RoadRunners are fourth in the ECHL with a goals-against average of 2.50.
- Victoria's Todd Ford is 1-1-0 with a goals-against average of 1.88 in two starts against Phoenix.
- Phoenix is second in the league on the penalty kill with 91.3 percent (73-for-80).

Idaho Steelheads (6-5-2) at Las Vegas Wranglers (4-6-1) 7:30 p.m. PT
- Idaho is 5-4-1 in the last 10 games at Las Vegas and 23-15-7 all-time against the Wranglers.
- Las Vegas' Chris Ferraro has four goals and seven points in his last four games.
- Steelheads' Rejean Beauchemin is 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.97 in his last two starts.
- Wranglers are sixth in the ECHL on the penalty kill with 84.8 percent (67-for-79).

Bakersfield Condors (3-7-1) at Fresno Falcons (8-3-1) 7:35 p.m. PT
- Falcons have won the first three meetings to improve to 24-16-8 all-time against Bakersfield.
- Condors are 24-15-9 all-time against Fresno.
- Fresno rookie Michael Ouzas is 2-0-0 with a shootout win and a goals-against average of 1.92 against Bakersfield.
- Bakersfield rookie Matt Pope has a three-game goal streak (4g) and a three-game point streak (4g-1a).

Utah Grizzlies (6-4-0) at Alaska Aces (8-2-1) 7:15 p.m. AT
- Aces rookie Jean-Phillipe Lamoureux leads the league in wins (8), shutouts (2), minutes (670) and saves (349).
- Grizzlies are fifth in the league on the power play with 21.8 percent (12-for-55).
- Alaska leads the ECHL on the penalty kill with 92.1 percent (58-for-63).
- Utah's Tom May has a two-game goal streak (2g) and four goals in his last five games.

- The ECHL celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2007-08 and is the third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League.
- ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league with 23 teams playing 828 games in 16 states and British Columbia in 2008-09.
- The Reading Royals, the City of Reading and the Sovereign Center will host the 17th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on Jan. 21, 2009 and the 12th Annual All-Star Skills Competition on Jan. 20, 2009.
- The league officially changed its name from East Coast Hockey League to ECHL on May 19, 2003.
- Affiliations with 26 of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League marking 12th consecutive season that the league has had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
- 368 former ECHL players have played in NHL.

- Former ECHL coaches working as head coaches in the NHL are Bruce Boudreau of the Washington Capitals, Scott Gordon of the New York Islanders and Peter Laviolette of the Carolina Hurricanes. Boudreau, who coached Mississippi for three seasons winning the Kelly Cup championship in 1999, was named NHL Coach of the Year in 2007-08 becoming the first former ECHL coach to receive the award. Laviolette, who began his coaching career with the Wheeling Nailers, led Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup in 2006.
- There are 18 assistant coaches in the NHL who were players or coaches in the ECHL.
- There are 18 former ECHL officials scheduled to work as part of the NHL officiating team in 2008-09 with referees David Banfield, Chris Ciamaga, Ghislain Hebert, Marc Joannette, Mike Leggo, Wes McCauley, Dean Morton, Dan O'Rourke, Brian Pochmara, Kevin Pollock, Kyle Rehman, Chris Rooney, Justin St. Pierre and Ian Walsh and linesmen Steve Barton, Brian Mach, Tim Nowak and Jay Sharrers. Barton, Joannette, Leggo, McCauley, Nowak, Pollock, Rooney and Sharrers all worked the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
- ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 29 teams in the American Hockey League and for the past 19 years there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion.
- In the last six seasons the ECHL has had more call-ups to the AHL than all other professional leagues combined with over 2,000 call-ups involving more than 1,000 players since 2002-03.
