Eastern League Playoff Tickets Now On Sale
August 20, 2013 - Eastern League (EL1)
Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine - Eastern League playoff tickets are now on sale for all potential playoff games at Hadlock Field this season. Tickets can be purchased on an individual basis or in strips (same great seat for all potential playoff games at Hadlock Field).
Playoff tickets are priced the same as regular season tickets which range in price from $8.00 to $10.00 for adults with reduced rates for children (16 and under), seniors (62+), and groups of 20 or more. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
The top two teams in each division will qualify for the playoffs. With 15 games left in the season, the Sea Dogs are currently in fourth place; 1.5 games behind third place New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) and 5.0 games behind second place Trenton Thunder (Yankees) for the final playoff spot in the Eastern League's Eastern Division. The Sea Dogs have nine remaining games with Trenton and six against New Hampshire. The first place Binghamton Mets have already clinched a playoff spot.
Should the Sea Dogs secure second place in the Eastern Division, the Sea Dogs could host up to four potential games at Hadlock Field. Tentatively the Sea Dogs would host games one and two of the Eastern League Eastern Division Series on Wednesday, September 4th and Thursday, September 5th at 6:00 PM. The Eastern League playoff format is a two-round system of best three-out-of-five series. In the first round of Divisional Playoffs, the first and second place teams in each division play each other. The division winners then meet for the Eastern League Championship.
In the event that any of the playoff games are not played, tickets must be returned to the Sea Dogs Ticket Office by October 1, 2013 for a full refund. Playoff tickets to games not played may also be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value for a game during the 2014 season.
The Sea Dogs last appearance in the playoffs was in 2008.
The Sea Dogs have seven regular season home games remaining in 2013. Tickets are available for all remaining games. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
