Earthquakes Lose to Fire in Santa Barbara
The Earthquakes dropped a 1-0 decision to the Chicago Fire in an 80-minute match played at Harder Stadium on the campus of UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 9. Jeff Larentowicz netted the last-minute winner from the penalty spot after Fire trialist Quincy Amarikwa was fouled in the box. The Quakes reserves also faced the Ventura County Fusion (PDL) on Monday, winning 2-1 thanks to a pair of goals from trialist Matt Fondy. The Foster City native followed up a blast off the post by fellow trialist Alexandre Gonzalez Emerson in the 14th minute and doubled his haul a minute later, beating the keeper after Jacob Hustedt won a ball in the attacking third.
Bernardez Helps Honduras to 2-1 Win in WCQ

Bernardez helped set up the first Honduran goal with a cross into the box. He will rejoin his San Jose teammates at training this week before the team heads to Portland this weekend.
