Early Deficit Dooms Huntsville in 4-2 Loss to Mississippi

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.- The Havoc are unable to comeback from an early deficit and fell to the Mississippi RiverKings 4-2 Tuesday night.
For the third time in the season series, Mississippi picked up the game's first goal while shorthanded.
As the two teams walked into the second period, the RiverKings quickly made it a two-goal game at 1:35 of the middle frame. Five minutes later, Mississippi saw a breakaway opportunity to corral their third of the night while seeing their fourth at 9:49. The Havoc began mounting their comeback when Tyler French scored his ninth at 14:07. The Kelowna, B.C. native saw a pass from Stuart Stefan while firing it through traffic to get Huntsville on the board. Just over three minutes later, French registered his second of the game while walking into the slot. The 26-year-old saw a pass from Luc Boby, who was in the near corner, to pot it home at 17:22 of the second period.
Unable to register a third-period goal, the Havoc could not overcome a four-goal deficit and fell to the RiverKings 4-2.
Memorable Moments Tyler French registered his second two-goal game of the season and first since December 30th.
Four the second time in four games, the Havoc successfully killed off 100% of their penalties.
Huntsville registered multiple goals in the second period for the fourth straight game and seventh time in their last nine.
The Havoc did not give up a third-period goal for the second straight contest.
Eddie Nolan with an assist now has points in six straight games for the Havoc while Stuart Stefan now has assists in two straight.
Huntsville has now outshot their opponent in 14 of their last 16 games.
