HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo will host Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday at 8 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium in a match presented by Direct Energy. The game is sold out.

Tomorrow's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston Plus, with pregame beginning at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).

The Dynamo (9-7-6; 33 points) are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference after a 1-0 road defeat against Real Salt Lake last weekend. The Sounders (10-7-4; 34 points) are tied for fifth place in the Western Conference following a 2-1 win at Toronto FC last Saturday.

Saturday's match is a Texas homecoming for new Sounders forward Clint Dempsey, who grew up in Nacogdoches, Texas (140 miles northeast of Houston). Dempsey signed with the Sounders on August 3 after scoring 57 goals in six and a half seasons with Fulham and Tottenham in the English Premier League. Dempsey, the captain of the United States national team, has scored 35 goals in 99 appearances for the U.S.

Tomorrow's match features to perennial MLS Cup contenders. The Sounders have qualified for the playoffs in each of their four seasons in MLS and reached the Western Conference Championship last season. The Dynamo have reached the last two MLS Cup finals and have played in the conference championship in five of seven seasons in Houston.

The game also pits two of the most successful coaches in league history. Sounders FC head coach Sigi Schmid is the league's all-time leader in wins (182) while Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear is fourth on the all-time chart with 123 wins. With his next victory, Kinnear will tie Bob Bradley for third on the wins list.

Dynamo midfielder Alexander López, who signed on August 7 as a Young Designated Player, practiced with the club on Friday and is eligible to make his debut on Saturday.

The Sounders also feature Nigerian international striker Obafemi Martins (7 goals and 3 assists in 15 games) and forward Lamar Neagle (5 goals and 3 assists in 17 games). The Seattle midfield includes Cuban midfielder Osvaldo Alonso, U.S. national team member Brad Evans and Argentine Mauro Rosales.

Before the game, Dynamo Charities, presented by Halliburton Charitable Foundation, will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for shaved heads in an hour span in a pregame head-shaving event. The public Bald is Beautiful head-shaving will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dynamo Soccer Fest near the southwest corner of BBVA Compass Stadium (Walker St. and Hutchins St.). On-site registration will begin at 6 p.m. All proceeds from the Bald is Beautiful campaign will benefit the Curing Children's Cancer Fund.

Following Saturday's game, the Dynamo will play four of their next five games on the road, including a road trip to Trinidad to face W Connection in the Champions League on Tuesday and a visit to Montreal to play the Impact next Saturday.

Saturday is the only game this year between the Houston and Seattle. The Sounders won the lone meeting last year, a 2-0 home win on March 23.
