HOUSTON- Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley will undergo surgery this week to remove a loose body in his left knee, the club announced today.

The procedure will aim to alleviate symptoms in Beasley's knee and the Dynamo captain will begin rehabilitation immediately after surgery. The Dynamo visit the LA Galaxy on Friday at StubHub Center, with kickoff set for 10 p.m. CDT. The Dynamo return home on July 20 to face FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals. For tickets for all Dynamo matches, visit www.HoustonDynamo.com or call (713) 276-7500.
