Durham Blanks Tides 6-0

Norfolk Tides News Release
Durham got an exceptional start from Jaime Schultz and a three-run homer from Daniel Robertson in a 6-0 win over the Tides Monday night at Harbor Park.
Schultz (5-2) was spectacular, as he carried a perfect game into the seventh inning before Mike Yastrzemski lined a two-out double to break up the bid. Schultz, a 24-year-old right-hander who is ranked as the #18 prospect in the Rays system, racked up 10 strikeouts without walking a batter over his 7.0-inning outing. He threw 66 of his 91 pitches for strikes and combined with former Tide Eddie Gamboa on the one-hit shutout, Norfolk's league-leading 11th shutout loss of the season.
Norfolk starter Ariel Miranda (1-6) took the loss, as he allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits over five innings of work. He matched a Tides season-high with nine strikeouts, but surrendered two runs in the third inning before yielding four more in the fifth - three of which came on Robertson's home run.
Scott McGough and Chaz Roe combined for four shutout innings of relief in the contest, as Norfolk's pitching staff registered 12 strikeouts and just one walk.
The Tides wrap up their homestand Tuesday afternoon at Harbor Park, with first pitch slated for 12:05. Orioles right-hander Yovani Gallardo is scheduled to make a rehab start for the Tides, while the Bulls will counter with right-hander Austin Pruitt (4-3, 2.48).
Notes: Mike Yastrzemski's double was his eighth in 20 games since he joined the Tides on May 16...Trey Mancini's 13-game on-base streak - as well as his eight-game hitting streak - were snapped with an 0-for-3 effort...Ariel Miranda's nine strikeouts matched a Norfolk season-high, previously set by Kevin Gausman in a rehab start at Charlotte on April 20...Durham has won six consecutive games, while the Tides have now dropped three straight.
