Dunedin Blue Jays News Release

Dunedin, FL - In an attempt to help spread awareness about brain cancer, the Dunedin Blue Jays are proud to announce their cooperation with Miles For Hope to present "Together in Hope," an event that will take place on Opening Night of the 2009 Florida State League season when the Blue Jays host the Clearwater Threshers on April 10.

With the first pitch set for 7 p.m., the gates will open at 6 p.m., where fans will be given a keepsake to commemorate the event, and also a candle for the post-game vigil, where Miles For Hope organizers are hoping to break a Guinness World Record for the world's largest candlelight vigil.

After the vigil, the fans in attendance will also be treated to a fireworks show to celebrate the beginning of the 2009 Florida State League season and to welcome fans for what is sure to be an exciting year of Dunedin Blue Jays baseball.

Tickets for the game are $8 each, and include a ticket to the game and fireworks show, the commemorative keepsake and a candle and matches for the vigil.
