(York, Pa.) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 11-7 on Wednesday night in the middle game of a three-game series at PeoplesBank Park.

The Ducks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Tyler Colvin's sacrifice fly to left field off Revolution starter Kelvin De La Cruz. York responded with six runs in the second inning off Ducks starter Bobby Blevins to take a 6-1 lead. A grand slam from Isaias Tejeda and a solo homer from Telvin Nash highlighted the inning.

Anthony Vega scored on a wild pitch from De La Cruz in the third, closing the gap to 6-2. However, five two-out runs for the Revolution in the fourth widened their lead to 11-2. Back-to-back bases loaded walks to Andres Perez and Alfredo Marte, along with a three-run double by Bryan Pounds, did the damage.

Long Island rallied for four runs in the fifth to trim the deficit to 11-6. RBI singles by Ruben Gotay and Colvin, an RBI double by Cody Puckett and a sac fly off the bat of Mike Blanke made it a five-run game. Colvin drove in another run with a two-out RBI single to center in the eighth, but that was as close as the Ducks would come.

De La Cruz did not factor into the decision but pitched four and one-third innings, giving up six runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Mariel Checo (3-0) picked up the win with one and two-thirds scoreless innings of relief, striking out three. Blevins (1-4) took the loss, surrendering six runs on five hits and two walks in two innings of work.

Fehlandt Lentini had five hits in five at-bats to lead the Flock offensively. Colvin added two hits and three RBI, while Gotay had three hits.
