DSF Sports, Fisher Cats' Brenner Stepping Down to Accept Position

MANCHESTER, N.H. - DSF Sports and Entertainment and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have announced that after eleven seasons with the organization and 23 seasons in Minor League Baseball, Rick Brenner will be stepping down. International Speedway Corporation has named Brenner the President of the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI.
Fisher Cats owner Art Solomon said, "I very much appreciate the terrific job that Rick has done and wish him the best in his new position. One of his most important contributions has been his help in building a fantastic Fisher Cats front office staff that is both deep and talented. We look forward to continuing the team's success in 2017 and beyond."
With Rick's help, the Fisher Cats have developed a strong philanthropic reputation in the community. The Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation have provided more than $4 million in monetary and in-kind donations for thousands of local non-profit groups, headlined by the annual Granite State Baseball Dinner, which has donated more than $1.4 million to charity since 2007.
"I want to thank Art, his family, my co-workers, the fans and our partners for a time in my life that will never be forgotten. This community, DSF Sports and the Fisher Cats are very special, and the team has an amazing front office that will continue to create success for many years to come," said Brenner. "I am fortunate to have been a part of such an incredible organization for so many years."
The Fisher Cats 2016 season ended on Labor Day, and the team now awaits a host of events this off-season including the Service Credit Union Live Free Country Music Festival headlined by Lee Brice and Joe Nichols. In November, the Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation will host the Granite State Baseball Dinner will special guests including Wade Boggs, Chris Carpenter, and more. Thanksgiving Day will mark the sixth year for the annual Thanksgiving Day 5K hosted with Millennium Running at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
The 2017 season will kick off with Opening Day on April 6 and will be highlighted by the 2017 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Classic on July 12, 2017.
