Drive Waive Thomas and Add Jones to the 2015-16 Season Roster

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has waived Adonis Thomas due to season ending injury and has added Dahntay Jones to the 12-man roster.

Thomas, the 6-foot-6, 232-pound forward appeared in two games averaging 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds this season before addressing his wrist injury. Drive will retain his NBA D-League player rights.

Jones, the 6-foot-6, 225-pound forward from Duke University who received All-ACC Honorable Mention honors in 2002 and was the 20th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics will join the Grand Rapids Drive 12-man roster.

Jones will dress for Saturdays game in Mississauga, Ontario against the Raptors 905, a new D-League team that is the NBA Affiliate of the Toronto Raptors and will wear jersey number 7.

The Drive return home after their three game road trip to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 4 PM on Sun., Dec. 6, 2015. It is the first River City Sunday where fans can get hot dogs for $1.
