Dream Adds Tina Roy to Training Camp Roster

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Dream has signed former University of South Carolina guard Tina Roy to a training camp contact.

In addition, the Dream has announced that they have come to terms with their first and second round picks in the 2016 WNBA Draft, Bria Holmes and Rachel Hollivay. Per team policy, terms of the contacts are not disclosed.

Roy appeared in all 34 games for South Carolina during her senior campaign and led the Gamecocks in three-point field goals with 61 while shooting a .361 clip (61-of-169). For her career, she posted an average of 4.7 points per game and dropped a total of 164 treys while appearing in 139 contests. She was a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.

The 5-11 guard hails from Kaplan, La., and was honored as Miss Basketball for the state of Louisiana in 2011 following a stellar prep career at Kaplan High School.

Holmes was selected by Atlanta with the No. 11 overall selection in the 2016 WNBA Draft out of West Virginia University. She finished her career as the leading active scorer in the Big XII Conference and posted 99 double-figure scoring efforts. She ranks No. 3 among the Mountaineers career leaders for points (2,001) and made field goals (731). She is only the second player in West Virginia history to earn first team all-conference honors for three consecutive seasons.

Hollivay, a 6-4 center, was selected by the Dream in the second round at No. 13 overall after finishing her collegiate career as Rutgers' all-time leader in blocked shots (332). She was recognized with All-Big Ten honorable mention status after her senior campaign and was also selected to the All-Big Ten Defensive squad after leading the conference in blocks as a senior. Posted averages of 6.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and shot .509 (111-of-218) during her final collegiate campaign.

The Dream open training camp on Saturday, April 23 before tipping off the preseason with a pair of games at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., vs. San Antonio (May 4) and Chicago (May 5).

Atlanta opens the 2016 regular season on the road on Saturday, May 14 at San Antonio in an 8 p.m. ET tip.
