Drakkar Win Draft Lottery
April 1, 2010 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
MONTREAL, Thursday, April 1, 2010 - The official draw for the first overall pick in the upcoming Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft was held this morning at the Hyatt-Regency Hotel in downtown Montreal. The Halifax Mooseheads and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar were the two teams with a shot at landing the prestigious selection. The Drakkar officially won the draw.
"It is certainly a great outcome for our organization after a difficult season," commented the Governor of Baie-Comeau Drakkar, Pierre Lebreux. "After restructuring our front office and adding new resources, our organization has a lot to offer players. The responsibility of selecting the best player available now falls upon the shoulders of our hockey department."
The 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft will be held on Saturday, June 5, in Drummondville.
