Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the West Michigan Whitecaps (affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) in the first game of a three-game series.

Individual Notes

- Jesse Winker was selected as Midwest League Batter of the Week for the period ending Sunday. He hit .375 with 3 HR and 10 RBI for the week. From April 19-May 21, Winker is batting .378 in 28 games with six home runs, six doubles and one triple, raising his average from .156 to .308. In the month of May, he is batting .339, ranks second in the league in slugging percentage at .581, second in on-base percentage at .453, is tied for second in home runs with four, and is second in RBI with 18.

- Seth Mejias-Brean went 0 for 4 on Monday to snap his nine-game hitting streak. In his last 10 games, he is 15 for 39, .385. He has driven in 17 runs in 18 games in the month of May to tie for third in the league. He is hitting .323 in May.

Junior Arias has hit safely in six straight games, batting .455 over the streak to raise his average from .211 to .250.

Team Notes

The Dragons went 4-1 at South Bend to enjoy their best series of the season. They won the first four games of the set. The Dragons are 9-10 in May. They are batting .266 in May as a team to rank second in the Midwest League lead. They are averaging 5.3 runs per game in May.
