Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) host the Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the last game of a four-game set. Season Series: Lake County 12, Dayton 7. (At Dayton: Dayton 4, Lake County 2).

Streaks: Dayton: Won 3 (Won 4 of last 6 after going 4-30 over previous 44 games). Lake County: Lost 3.

Last Game: Dayton defeated Lake County 3-1 on Monday to earn their third straight win in the series. The game was played in two hours, two minutes, making it the shortest nine-inning game of 2010 for the Dragons. Dayton starting pitcher Clayton Shunick tossed six strong innings, allowing just one run, to earn his second straight victory. The Dayton bullpen combined for three scoreless innings as Doug Salinas worked the ninth for his seventh save. Dayton collected just four hits. Kevyn Feiner had two of them including a solo home run.

Today's Starting Pitcher: Tim Crabbe makes his 14th start of the season tonight. He has also made two relief appearances. Crabbe's last start was last Thursday at Great Lakes and he suffered a tough-luck loss (5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO). Crabbe has struggled over his last seven starts (0-5, 27.0 IP, 27 R, 28 BB) as his ERA has jumped from 2.54 to 4.09. He opened the 2010 season in extended spring training before joining the Dragons for one start on May 22 vs. Bowling Green (4.2 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO), then returned to Goodyear. He re-joined Dragons on June 5. Crabbe spent last season at Billings and went 1-7, 4.86 in 14 starts. He was the Reds 14th round draft pick out of Westmont (Cal.) College.

Individual Notes

* Henry Rodriguez has hit safely in nine straight games, going 16 for 34, .471, to raise his batting average to .302. He is batting .333 since June 1 to raise his batting average from .260 to .302. He is hitting .336 in the second half to lead the team.

* Kevyn Feiner is 4 for 7 with two home runs in the current series.

* Ryan LaMarre is batting .324 over his last 27 games to raise his batting average from .244 to .282.

* Chase Weems is batting .353 over his last six games.

* Doug Salinas over his last seven games: 5 saves, 13.1 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 22 SO. Salinas has earned the save in five of the last seven Dayton wins.

* The Dragons roster includes two players who are ranked among the Reds top 30 prospects by Baseball America. They are shortstop Didi Gregorius (#15) and pitcher J.C. Sulbaran (#25) (Sulbaran is on the disabled list).

* Dayton needs a win tonight to earn their first four-game home winning streak since they won six straight home games April 30-May 12.
