Dragons Buckley Wins MWL Batter of the Week

Dayton, Ohio -Dayton Dragons first baseman/outfielder Sean Buckley has been named Midwest League Batter of the Week for the week of August 20-26.

For the week, Buckley appeared in all seven Dragons games and batted .429 with three home runs and 11 runs batted in. He added five doubles and posted a slugging percentage of .929.

For the season, Buckley is batting .248 and leads the team with 13 home runs and 65 runs batted in. He has played in 109 games.

Buckley is the third Dragons player to win the league Batter of the Month honor this season. Kyle Waldrop (May 21-27) and Yorman Rodriguez (July 2-8) previously received the honor.
