Dodgers Recall SS Gordon

The Los Angeles Dodger recalled shortstop Dee Gordon today after sending Hanley Ramirez to the 15-day disabled list. Gordon is making his third stint with the Dodgers.

The Florida native made his Major League debut for the Dodgers in 2011 on June 6 at Philadelphia. He has a career .260 batting average (137-for-527) in the big leagues and has stolen 56 bases. Gordon appeared in 143 big league games in 2011-12. Gordon is in his sixth season with the Dodgers system. He was selected by the club in the 4th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.

The 25-year-old was a spark on the base-paths in 25 games with Albuquerque this season. He stole a Pacific Coast League-leading 14 bases and was only caught twice. He put up a .314 batting average (32-for-102) with 19 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and 12 RBI.

The Topes are going for five wins in their last six games tonight as they take on New Orleans in game two of a four-game set with a 7:05 p.m. start at Isotopes Park.
