*FIREWORKS Headlines Jaxx June 18-23 Homestand Against the Braves*

Your West Tenn Diamond Jaxx will open up the second half of the 2007 regular season with a six-game series with the Mississippi Braves from June 18th-23rd at Pringles Park.

It will be another Budweiser Bucket Night on Monday, June 18th where fans can purchase 4-16 ounce cans of Budweiser for just $12.00.

Tuesday, June 19th will be $2.00 Tuesday at Pringles Park. General Admission tickets as well as a hot dog with a bag of popcorn are only $2.00.

First pitch on Wednesday, June 20th will be at 11:05am. It will be Super Splash Day at Pringles Park where the Diamond Jaxx and the Jackson Fire Department will team up to create all sorts of water activities to help beat the summer heat. Special group rates with tickets as low as $2.00 each apply to groups of 25 or more who pre-order their tickets before Wednesday.

Thursday, June 21st will be another Thirsty Thursday where fans who purchase one (1) 20-oz. Pepsi or one (1) 16-oz. draft beer, will receive another one (1) FREE.

The next in the Sermon on the Mound post-game devotionals will take place on Friday, June 22nd. It will also be Free Gas Friday where select fans will win FREE gasoline compliments of Horizon Travel Plaza. Following Friday night's game, kids 12 and under are invited to Run the Bases.

The Diamond Jaxx will close out the homestand with a bang with post-game FIREWORKS sponsored by Chick-fil-A on Saturday, June 23rd. Chick-fil-A will also be distributing coupons for FREE chicken sandwiches and other goodies, such as Chick-fil-A cows and t-shirts, to fans in attendance. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy a pre-game concert by Memphis Jones. Also, during the game, 24-ounce draft beers will be just $2.00 and the Diamond Jaxx will be sporting special Elk's Lodge Great American Flag Celebration themed jerseys. The jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the Boy Scouts of America West TN Area Council and the Reelfoot Girl Scouts of America. Finally, kids will have the opportunity to Run the Bases after the game.

*Whitney Duncan Concert and Appearances by Scooby Doo and RALLY Added to 2007 Diamond Jaxx Promotional Schedule*

The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, the Double-A Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, are continuing to add to the 2007 promotional schedule. The team is proud to announce that two popular acts from the first half of the 2007 season will be returning to the Big Chip this year.

First, after singing the National Anthem on Opening Night, former "Nashville Star" contestant, Whitney Duncan, will return to Pringles Park for a post-game concert on Saturday, June 30th. Duncan grew up in Scotts Hill, Tennessee and her music is influenced by everyone from Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis to Tanya Tucker and Shania Twain. *Spaces Still Open for Diamond Jaxx Youth Baseball Camp*

The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx are offering Summer Baseball Camps at Pringles Park for area youth. There are still slots available for both camps (ages 6-11 will be on Thursday, June 21st and a camp for ages 12-15 will take place on Friday, June 22nd) with both camps running from 9:00am to noon.

At each camp, campers get to spend the day on the same field as the future stars of Major League Baseball while receiving instruction on how to play like a major leaguer by the Diamond Jaxx players as well as Seattle Mariners and Diamond Jaxx coaches.

The $50.00 (per child, tax excluded) cost for the Camp includes: - Training by Professional Baseball Players and Instructors - FREE Diamond Jaxx Camp T-Shirt - FREE ticket to that night's Diamond Jaxx Game - FREE lunch with the Diamond Jaxx on the Camp day - Pre-Game Introduction including child's name on the scoreboard prior to the National Anthem on that night's game

*Diamond Jaxx Finishing First Half of the Season at Smokies Park*

The Diamond Jaxx are closing out the first half of the 2007 regular season this weekend in East Tennessee against the Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

In game one of the five game series on Wednesday night, June 13th, Tennessee defeated West Tenn, 7-3. Diamond Jaxx starter Justin Thomas allowed all seven runs, six of those earned, on eight hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. Matt Tuiasosopo led the way offensively for the Diamond Jaxx going 2-for-4 with an RBI triple and a run scored.

The Smokies beat the Diamond Jaxx at Smokies Park again on Thursday, June 14th by the score of 6-3. Tennessee scored five runs on six hits off losing pitcher Andy Baldwin in the bottom of the second inning to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Marshall Hubbard had two hits and a RBI while Luis Valbuena homered to lead the Diamond Jaxx offense.

Game three of the five game series takes place tonight at 6:15 CDT. Left-hander Robert Rohrbaugh (6-4 3.82) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Tennessee will counter with right-hander Mark Holliman (6-4 2.69).
