Diablos Set Spring Training, Exhibition Game & Tryouts

EL PASO- Diablos players are making their way to El Paso from cities across America and abroad. With our season opener less than two weeks away, things are moving fast! The Diablos Spring Training starts Sunday, May 5th and ends Wednesday, May 15th, as Field Manager, Tim Johnson, begins to finalize the roster for the 2013 season. The Diablos will play one exhibition game on Friday, May 10th at 7:05 PM. Admission and parking are free, so take advantage to see the Diablos' Spring Training invitees play.

For ball players with pro club dreams, there's still a chance to tryout for the 2013 Diablos roster. Tryouts will be held in Houston, TX on May 11thstarting at 12:00 pm. Tryouts will be held at the Houston Texas Coastal Baseball Park (between Beltway 8 Feeder in between Telephone and Mykawa).Three players from tryouts will be invited to Spring Training with El Paso for the duration of Spring Training.

For media inquiries, please contact PR Director, Lizette Espinosa. Interviews can be scheduled each day of Spring Training at 3:00 pm, with the exception of May 10th. Media passes and packets, will be available during the exhibition game and opening weekend. Please coordinate with Lizette Espinosa for credentials.

The Diablos 2013 regular season kicks off May 16th against the Amarillo Sox at Cohen Stadium, wraps home games on August 25th with the Sioux City Explorers, and officially ends the season on the road in Gary SouthShore with the RailCats. With returning American Association Manager of the Year, Tim Johnson, at the helm, the Diablos are sure to make the most out of their 100-game schedule. Promotions will include Fireworks Fridays, Quartermania Sundays, $1 Beer Thursdays, Military Nights, character appearances, and Free Saturdays.
