Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, N.J. (October 30, 2008) - Three Trenton Devils had two-point nights as the Devils scored four third period goals to defeat the Johnstown Chiefs 5-2 Thursday night at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The winning goal came at the 5:58 mark on the power play as Tyler Burton slammed home a rebound in front of the net for his second goal of the season, giving Trenton a 3-2 lead.

The Devils then received insurance goals from Scott Bartlett and Eric Castonguay, which ensured the Devils their first win at Sovereign Bank Arena this season.

Prior to scoring three straight goals to close out the contest, the Devils had twice taken leads only to have the Chiefs quickly tie it up.

Trevor Kell got the game's first goal at the 1:31 mark of the second on a two-on-one with recent acquisition Brett Pilkington. Mike Bartlett would tie it up on the man advantage 38 seconds later.

At the 1:39 mark of the third, Chris Tutalo scored a goal in his second straight game to put the Devils ahead 2-1, only to see it matched on Jason Spence's tally 24 seconds later.

Burton, Kell and Castonguay each had a goal and an assist for the Devils, who saw 11 different players earn a point in the game. Trenton's power play was 1-for-5 as Jeff Frazee looked solid with 29 saves on 31 shots.

The Trenton Devils go back on the road to take on the Elmira Jackals Saturday night at 7:35 p.m. Fans can listen or watch the broadcast on www.trentondevils.com, courtesy of B2 Networks.
