Detroit, MI. The ABA Detroit Panthers defeated the Chicago-based Cicero Cometas USA in pre-season basketball Saturday night at their new home court, Birmingham Groves High School before a loud and cheerful crowd. The Panthers were led by power forward Ty Mack with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists.
Corey Gumpton had 17 points, 5 rebounds; Gary Solomon had 16 points, Willie Mitchell had 15 points, 7 rebounds and shooting guard Joel Lawman added 12 points.
The Panthers are looking forward to their season opening home game against Cicero on Friday, November 9th at 715pm. Also, join the Panthers at home on Sunday, Nov 11th at 615pm when they take on the Anderson Champions from Indiana.
