Defenseman Blake Thompson Returns to Adirondack

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that it has signed defenseman Blake Thompson to a standard player contract for the 2018-2019 season.
Thompson, 25, returns to the Thunder after finishing the 2017-2018 season in Glens Falls. The six-foot-one defenseman appeared in 44 regular season games for Adirondack, finishing with seven points (1-6-7) and 29 PIM. Thompson elevated his play during the Kelly Cup Playoffs as he added four points in ten games throughout the Thunder's postseason run.
The Listowel, Ontario native has experience across the league after appearing in 13 games for the Orlando Solar Bears and Cincinnati Cyclones over the past two seasons. Prior to turning pro, Thompson played four years at Division III's St. Norbert College in Wisconsin. He registered 73 points (19-54-73) and 170 PIM over 112 games played for the Green Knights.
