Portland Pirates News Release

Daytona Beach, FL - The Bradenton Marauders (55-50) couldn't outslug the Daytona Tortugas (56-47) on Sunday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, falling 11-7. 1B Jerrick Suiter had his second four-hit game of the season and finished with four RBIs while adding his fifth home run of the year. Suiter's solo home run in the fifth inning brought the Marauders within 4-3 after Daytona opened the game by taking a 4-1 lead through two innings. A two-RBI single by Suiter in the sixth tied the game, but the Marauders never managed to push the go-ahead run across the plate. Suiter's RBI hit in the eighth closed the Marauders to within 8-6, but after getting within 8- 7 the Marauders were turned away again. Daytona scored three times in the seventh against RHP Junior Lopez (L, 3-3) and added three more runs against RHP Luis Heredia in the eighth inning. LHP Brennan Bernardino (W, 2-3) earned the victory out of the Daytona bullpen. SS Cole Tucker went 3-for-6 for Bradenton, his second straight game with three hits and his fifth multi-hit game since July 22.
