Day 2 of Nike Friendlies Highlights 2017 Boys' DA #WinterShowcase Tonight

The 2017 Development Academy #WinterShowcase continues with a full slate of games across the fields of Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida today. The day's action will culminate with two Nike International Friendlies games at the Stadium Field, featuring Matchday 1 winners Brazil and England going head to head, and host USA taking on the Netherlands in the night cap!
In the first feature game of the day, Northeast division playoff contenders FC Greater Boston Bolts took on Southwest division competitors Strikers FC. With 11 minutes remaining, Bolts attacker Gabriel Meireles pounced to give his side a hard-earned 1-0 win.
Bolts forward Gabriel Meireles gets by his defender. The Rapids and Crossfire played a 4-4 barnburner.
The day's second feature game produced quite the goal storm, with Frontier division heavyweights Colorado Rapids pitted against Northwest division high-fliers Crossfire Premier. The pair played to a thrilling 4-4 draw that featured seven different goal scorers.
