June 18, 2009 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Winston-Salem Dash News Release
Wilmington, DE - The opener a five-game series between the Winston-Salem Dash and Wilmington Blue Rocks at Frawley Stadium on Thursday night was postponed due to wet field conditions. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday with the first pitch set for 5:05 p.m. The two teams are scheduled to play two seven-inning contests with a 30-minute intermission between games.
The Dash and Blue Rocks were already scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday as part of a makeup game from an earlier rainout in Wilmington on May 3. With the back-to-back doubleheaders, the two clubs will now play five games in three days. This is the final series of the first half with the All-Star break beginning on Monday.
The Dash recently released the unique Five-Game Fireworks Plan, with four fireworks nights, including our special Independence Day show on July 2. Fans also receive a hot dog and soda at each game, a FREE Dash hat and kids can run the bases following each game. Single-game tickets are also available for games at Wake Forest Baseball Park and can be purchased online at www.wsdash.com or by calling the Dash office at (336) 714-2287.
