Danger, Sioux Falls Set for Round Two Friday Night

April 24, 2018 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release

GRAND ISLAND - It's Nebraska Danger vs. Sioux Falls - Round 2.

The Storm took the opening game in the three-game regular season series, but it didn't come easy for the perennial IFL power. The Storm escaped the Heartland Events Center with a 45-37 win over Nebraska.

Despite the loss, Danger quarterback Jesse Scroggins flourished, throwing for five touchdowns in the narrow 8-point defeat. What's even more impressive, is those five TD passes were spread amongst four different receivers. Scroggins also led the team in rushing that night.

However, the Danger haven't tasted victory since March 30, nearly a month ago from Friday night's kickoff. Last time out, the Danger had its lowest offensive output of the year, falling 41-25 to the Iowa Barnstormers. The loss dropped the Danger to 4th in the IFL standings, but a win over Sioux Falls Friday night would significantly change the season outlook and give the Danger a foot up in the playoff seeding race.

Since beating the Danger, Sioux Falls suffered an eight-point loss of their own, falling to Arizona for the second time this season. The Storm bounced back in a big way last week, though. They trounced Cedar Rapids 65-48.

Kickoff for the Danger and Storm on Mascot Night is set for Friday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at area Pump & Pantry Stores, the Heartland Events Center Box Office or via Ticketmaster. The game will be broadcast live on 2DayFM 103.1 or streamed live at www.2dayfm1031.com with live video available at DangerFootball.com/Watch.

Over a dozen mascots will be in attendance for Mascot Night! An autograph party with players and coaches will take place after the game.
