Nebraska Danger News Release

GRAND ISLAND, NE - The Nebraska Danger (3-1) looks to continue their winning ways on Saturday night as they come off their bye week with an important matchup against the Texas Revolution (2-2) . Kickoff is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Heartland Events Center.

Two weeks ago, the Danger picked up a 62-35 win against the Wyoming Cavalry as they improved to 3-1 on the season. The Revolution won their second contest in a row as they defeated the Tri-Cities Fever 54-43 to improve their record to 2-2.

"This is a big game for us," Danger Head Coach Mike Davis said. "Texas is playing really well. Coming off our bye week, we need to get some momentum started for the month of April. This will be a big month for us."

A tough April schedule for the Danger features both home and away games with Texas and Intense Conference leader Colorado. The 4-1 Ice are off this week before hosting the Danger in Ft. Collins on April 13.

The Danger offense has had an efficient start through four games as they rank second in the IFL in scoring at 49 points per contest. Quarterback Jameel Sewell leads the league in quarterback efficiency and is second in the league at 178 yards per game. Sewell's favorite target is Kayne Farquharson, who leads the IFL with 341 receiving yards, and is also second in the league with 24 receptions.

"Our offense has been playing well," Davis said. "But we'll get a good test from the Texas defense. We have a lot of respect for their team and the way they have been playing recently. We expect a big challenge Saturday."

The Revolution will bring two reigning IFL Players of the Week to the Heartland Events Center. Quarterback Marcus Jackson accounted for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in last week's victory over Tri-Cities, while throwing for 215 yards with no interceptions. Defensive back Frankie Solomon Jr. earned Defensive Player of the Week honors while recording 10 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. He leads the IFL with four interceptions on the season.

Kickoff is set for 7 pm on Saturday night at the Heartland Events Center. Doors open at 6:00 with pre-game activities beginning at 6:30.

Tickets for Saturday night are available at area Pump & Pantry stores, the Heartland Events Center Box Office, or via Ticketmaster. The game will be broadcast live on 2DayFM 103.1 with veteran sports announcer Brad Fossberg on the play-by-play, or streamed live at www.2dayfm1031.com
