Danbury Whalers Release 2013-14 Schedule

The defending Federal Hockey League Champion Danbury Whalers are proud to announce their 2013-14 season game schedule. The club will play 56 games with 29 at home and 27 on the road.
The puck drops for the season on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:35 PM when the Whalers take on the 1000 Islands Privateers at the Danbury Ice Arena. The Danbury Whalers have eliminated the Privateers from the playoffs in back to back seasons with an overall mark of 5-0.
The Dayton Demonz make their first visit to the Danbury Ice Arena for a Commissioner's Cup rematch on Friday, November 29th.
The home schedule breaks down as follows. There will be 13-Saturday night games, 8-Fridays, 4-Sundays, 2-Thursdays, 1-Wednesday, and 1-Tuesday.
The Tuesday night game takes place on New Year's Eve, December 31st. This is the first time the franchise has played a New Year's Eve game.
The Wednesday contest takes place on November 27th, the night before Thanksgiving.
The breakdown of home games versus opponents is Watertown 10 times, Danville 10, and Dayton 9. The month breakdown of game is November-6, December-5, January-6, February-6, and March-6. No opponent will be seen more than 3x per month and each team will come in at least once per month.
Home game times for the Danbury Whalers are 7:35 PM with Sunday at 5:05 PM.
Individual game tickets will be going on sale in September.
