Dallas Recalls Goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp from Texas

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has recalled goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp from Texas. Additionally, Dallas has reassigned goaltender Tyler Beskorowany to Texas from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.
Nilstorp, 28, returns to Dallas for the second time this season. The Malmo, Sweden native has skated in two NHL games for the Stars this year and has an 0-2-0 record with a .918 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.70 goals-against average (GAA). Nilstorp made his NHL debut on Jan. 20 against Minnesota stopping 31-of-32 shots in 59 minutes of play. In 31 AHL games for Texas this season he is 17-10-1 record with a 2.17 GAA, .914 SV% and four shutouts. Nilstorp went undrafted and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on June 5, 2012.
Beskorowany (pronounced behs-kohr-WAH-nee), 22, returns to Texas for the third time this season and has served as the Stars' backup goaltender for three games. The Hanmer, Ontario native has appeared in 27 games this season for Idaho, posting a 15-9-3 record with a 2.86 goals-against average, a 0.910 save percentage and one shutout. Beskorowany was drafted by Dallas in the second round (59th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 51 career AHL games for Texas, with a 17-27-1 record, 3.10 goals-against average, an 0.899 save percentage and two shutouts.
The Stars conclude their home stand as they host the Oklahoma City Barons in the finale of their weekend series Saturday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
