Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON - The Houston Aeros in conjunction with the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced defenseman Maxim Noreau has been selected a Second Team AHL All-Star as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league's 29 member cities.

Noreau, 22 (5/24/87), leads Aeros skaters and is fifth among AHL defensemen with a career-high 50 points in 71 games played this season. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Montreal native also holds the club-lead with 32 assists and his 18 goals leads AHL blue-liners, both career marks.

Noreau was selected to play for the Canadian All-Stars in the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic earlier this year. He also tied a franchise record for points in a game when he recorded five points (2-3=5) at Abbotsford Jan. 22, 2010. The Aeros defenseman added a goal and an assist the following night earning him Reebok/AHL Player of the Week honors for the week ending Jan. 24, 2010.

Each All-Star Team member will receive a custom designed crystal award in recognition of his selection to the 2009-10 AHL First and Second All-Star Teams.

The Aeros close out their season series with Chicago tomorrow with a 7:35 p.m. tilt from Toyota Center. Aeros fans are encouraged to wear red to the game as the team will again sport their alternate red uniforms. Watch the game live on ahllive.com or listen to Joe O'Donnell's call on 1070 AM-KNTH .
