SCOUTING THE ROYALS: Larry Courville's club has played a ton of hockey over the last few weeks. Four of their last five games have gone into overtime and the Royals have prevailed in each of them. In fact, since beginning the second round, eight of their last nine contests have been decided by a single goal. Their captain Yannick Tifu remains atop the Royals scoring leader board with 15 points (8 goals, 7 assists) in 14 games - although he has been held to just one assist in this series. T.J. Syner is the team leader, so far in the Conference Finals; he's posted four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in the first two match-ups. Riley Gill has been a busy man between the pipes, already making 94 saves against Cincinnati. He's amassed a 7-2 record with a 1.92 goals-against average.
Pacan's Prowess: Cyclones forward David Pacan has been a steady force on offense this postseason. He leads the team and ranks third in the ECHL with 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists). He has notched tallies in five of his last six games and in all but four games this playoff year.
Two of the Best: As expected, the final pair of teams in the Conference are also among the best, defensively. The Cyclones rank fourth in the ECHL by allowing an average of 2.57 goals-per game. The Royals currently pace the league with 2.07 surrendered on average.
