Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Marc Cheverie turned aside 27 shots while Dylan Hunter, Dustin Sproat, Brock Sheahan, and Christiaan Minella each registered two points to help the Cincinnati Cyclones (10-8-5-1) shutout the Bakersfield Condors (8-13-1-0) by a 5-0 score in front of 2,048 at U.S. Bank Arena on Tuesday night. It was Cheverie's ECHL-best third shutout of the season

Dylan Hunter struck first for Cincinnati, at 12:46, when he backhanded a shot through the legs of Josh Tordjman (L, 23 saves, 4-8-1-0) for a 1-0 Cyclones lead. Cincinnati added another goal less than three minutes later, at 15:25, when Mathieu Aubin let loose a cannon blast that beat Tordjman over the glove-side shoulder for his team-leading seventh goal of the season and a 2-0 cushion heading into the first intermission.

Hunter gave the Cyclones a 3-0 lead at 6:46 of the second period when he slid another backhander home for his second of the night. He becomes the fourth Cyclones player to register a multi-goal game.

In the third period Cincinnati continued to pour it on; Christiaan Minella buried his fifth goal of the season on a precise wrist shot from just inside the right circle, making it 4-0. Then, with less than a minute to play in regulation, Chris Clackson tipped home another Minella shot for the 5-0 advantage. Marc Cheverie (W, shutout, 27 saves, 9-4-2-1) and the 'Clones would go on to win by the same score.
