Hartford Yard Goats News Release

ALTOONA- Left-handed reliever Jared LaKind struck out David Dahl with the bases loaded and the Altoona Curve held on to trim the Hartford Yard Goats 3-2 Sunday night, before 5,848 fans at PNG Field. Altoona won two out of three from Hartford.

The Yard Goats took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Dillon Thomas. Altoona came back with three runs in the sixth against Hartford starter Kyle Freeland, helped by two sacrifice flies. That set the stage for the dramatic finish.

Hartford scored a run in the ninth against Altoona closer Montana DuRapau on a pinch-hit double by Correlle Prime, but with two left handed batters due up, LaKind was summoned. He walked Raimel Tapia but notched the strike out to save the win and extend his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 25.

Zach Osborne and Thomas each had two hits for Hartford. While Jose Osuna collected two more hits to go 8-for-9 in the series against Hartford.

The Yard Goats will be off on Monday. They open a three-game series, as the home team against Richmond, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire on Tuesday. The game will start at 5:05 PM and be broadcast live on News Radio 1410 WPOP and streamed on the iHeart media app.
