Current & Former Pats Take Advantage of WHL's Scholarship Program

Regina SK ---- Today in conjunction with the WHL, the Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that twenty-five former and current members of the Pats organization are attending post-secondary institutions with a WHL scholarship this season.
All players in the WHL are eligible for full academic scholarships. For each year played in the WHL, graduating players receive a full scholarship consisting of tuition, books and fees to a University, College or post-secondary institution of their choice. In addition, while playing in the WHL all costs associated with a player's education are covered by WHL clubs whether a player is taking High School, University or College courses.
"The Western Hockey League is a place where the student athlete can come to further their education and play hockey in the best junior hockey league in the world. Our league guarantee of 'Education & World Class Hockey' is proven with the statistics released by our league today. Our organization is as proud of the player who move on to University and into the corporate world as we are of those who have achieved success in the hockey world," commented Pats GM Brent Parker
Since 1993, the WHL has provided more than 2,000 scholarships representing an investment of close to $6 million by WHL clubs.
