Crunch Sign Left Wing Mark Bomersback

Syracuse, NY (December 16, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing Mark Bomersback to a professional tryout contract.

Bomersback, 26, has skated in 12 games for Idaho (ECHL) this season, notching three goals, 10 assists and eight penalty minutes. He has also appeared in nine games with Providence (AHL) this year, tallying one goal. Bomersback has skated in 30 combined AHL games with Iowa (Stars) and Providence, accumulating three goals, five assists and 23 penalty minutes.

A native of Rochester, Alberta, Bomersback spent four years at Ferris State University (NCAA) prior to joining the professional ranks, appearing in 136 games, racking up 40 goals, 49 assists and 70 penalty minutes.

The Crunch's next game is Wednesday, December 17 as they travel to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins at 7:00 p.m. The Crunch return home on Saturday, December 20 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Lake Erie Monsters.
