Crunch Release Goaltender Ryan Munce

Syracuse, NY (December 17, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released goaltender Ryan Munce from his professional tryout contract.

Munce, 23, appeared in two games with the Crunch this season, going 0-2-0 with a 2.61 goals against average and .921 save percentage. He has also skated in 16 games for Mississippi (ECHL) this year, going 9-6-0 with a 3.35 goals against average and .912 save percentage.

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Munce was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round, 82nd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by the Crunch to a PTO on December 10.

The Crunch's next game is Wednesday, December 17 as they travel to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins at 7:00 p.m. The Crunch return home on Saturday, December 20 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Lake Erie Monsters.
