Crunch Kick off Anti-Bullying Campaign

February 5, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Syracuse Crunch News Release


Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Crunch are launching an anti-bullying campaign at Syracuse-area elementary schools.

The program brings Syracuse Crunch players to speak with elementary school students to encourage bullying awareness and prevention while stressing the importance of respect and teamwork. After the assembly, students will have the opportunity to sign an anti-bullying pledge. Students agreeing to the pledge will be eligible to receive a free ticket for an upcoming Crunch game this season.

A partial list of the schools and Crunch players participating in each program is below:

Tuesday, Feb. 5 - Groton Elementary - Jared Nightingale and Alex Killorn

Wednesday, Feb. 6 - Bellevue Elementary - Tyler Johnson and JP Cote

Thursday, Feb. 7 - Ed Smith Elementary - Eric Neilson and JT Wyman

Schools interested in joining the Crunch anti-bullying campaign may contact the Crunch office for more information by calling 315-473-4444.
