Crunch and SUNY Upstate Medical University Present Movember Fundraising Initiative

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch and SUNY Upstate Medical University are teaming up to present a Movember Mustache challenge to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health issues.
Throughout the month of November, aka Movember, both players and staff of the Syracuse Crunch will be growing mustaches to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men's health issues. The Crunch website, Facebook and YouTube channel will chronicle the mustache growth throughout the month.
The Movember Mustache challenge is fundraising initiative and best mustache competition among Syracuse Crunch players. At each home game during the month of November there will be a table on the second floor concourse for collection cans with select player's photos attached to them. Fans should vote for the best mustache by making a donation into that player's collection can. Fans can also visit www.syracusecrunch.com to make donations online. The player whose photo has collected the most donations at the end of the month will be declared the winner. All donations will benefit the Upstate Cancer Fund.
Fans will also have the chance to compete in a best mustache contest on the Crunch's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/syracusecrunch). Any fan who wants to be considered should e-mail a photo of themselves to the Syracuse Crunch at syracusecrunchhockey@gmail.com by Nov. 15. The following week photos will be posted to a gallery on the Crunch Facebook page and voting will open. The photo that has the most likes on Nov. 22 will win a four pack of tickets to the Crunch's Nov. 23 game against Binghamton and a photo with the Crunch player of their choice.
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from of all tickets purchased for the November 23 game against Binghamton with the code "stache" will benefit the Upstate Cancer Fund.

The Crunch are on the road for their next two games against the Hamilton Bulldogs. They return home to host the Rochester Americans on November 10.
