Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, defender Wandrille Lefèvre and midfielder Kyle Bekker have once again been invited to join the Canadian national team, from January 25 to February 6, in preparation for a friendly against the United States on February 5, at 10:30pm ET (TSN), at the StubHub Center, in Carson, California.
Lefèvre, who has been recalled for a second time by Canada, played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Ghana in a friendly at RFK Stadium on October 13, in Washington.
Bekker played 16 games with the Canadian men's national team, including 10 starts, taking part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2013 and 2015. He was also invited to play in a home and away series against Belize in September.
As for Crépeau, the keeper participated in the 2015 Pan American Games with the Canadian U23 team last July in Toronto. He received his first senior call-up in January 2014.
Canada continues preparation for Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers matches against Mexico on March 25 and 29.
The three players will miss the first phase of the Impact's training camp in Orlando, Florida.
