Crew Unveils 2013 Promotional Schedule

COLUMBUS - The Columbus Crew announced its 2013 Major League Soccer regular season promotional schedule on Thursday, with the Black & Gold's Opening Match presented by OhioHealth taking place on Saturday, March 16 against the defending MLS Supporters' Shield winners, San Jose Earthquakes. The Crew begins its eighteenth MLS campaign with a two-game road swing, starting the season on March 2 in Los Angeles at Chivas USA before heading north to British Columbia for a March 9 clash with Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

The Crew is currently unveiling 14 promotional matches, with six hallmark events throughout the season at Crew Stadium. Additional promotions will be announced in the weeks ahead. With 13 of the club's 2013 home contests against Eastern Conference opponents, the Crew is hosting five of these signature events surrounding pivotal inter-conference matchups. The team's annual Red, White & Crew Fireworks Extravaganza takes center stage on Saturday, June 22 when the Black & Gold welcome the Chicago Fire to central Ohio. Other marquee fixtures include the three-match Trillium Cup finale with Toronto FC, on August 17, Put Out the Fire on September 21 and FANdemonium! to conclude the regular season against New England on Sunday, October 27.

The Crew's popular Dollar Nights - highlighted by Bob Evans Buck-a-Brats and $1 Budweiser drafts - return in 2013, with three dates throughout the regular season. Montreal's visit on Saturday, June 15 is the first opportunity to enjoy this Columbus tradition, with the July 20 game against New England and September 4 clash with Houston rounding out the Dollar Night schedule.

Additionally, the club announced that single-match tickets for all Crew regular season home games go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. Prices range from $23 to $48. Tickets for groups of 20 or more went on sale on Monday, January 28, with discounted prices over single-match tickets. Crew season ticket plans start at just $15 per game, and feature significant savings over single-game pricing, along with an exclusive benefits package. Now through February 15, Crew fans can receive discounts on 2013 pricing through a variety of full-season and 10-game ticket plans. Fans can also receive comprehensive team coverage and ticketing benefits by becoming a member of the Crew Soccer Nation Fan Club .
