Crawdads Win Both Series in 5-2 Week

HICKORY, NC - The Hickory Crawdads continued their hot start to the second half of the season with a 5-2 week, including a 3-1 home stand against the Kannapolis Intimidators at Crawdads Stadium.
The 'Dads took two of three in Savannah against the Sand Gnats, before returning home for a 4th of July home stand against Kannapolis. After dropping a rain-suspended game one, the Crawdads bounced back to win the next three contests including a 10-inning, walk off 7-6 victory on Sunday.
The Crawdads currently boast an 11-6 record in the second half of the the season, including an 8-3 mark at home.

- The Crawdads still easily lead the South Atlantic Lead in home runs with 125. The next closest team is Asheville with 75 HRs. The 'Dads long ball total trails only Stockton of the California League for the Minor League lead.
- The Crawdads also lead the South Atlantic League in Slugging Percentage (.443), Total Bases (1,270) and RBI (407) while ranking third in the league in Runs Scored (440).
- INF Joey Gallo currently leads all of MiLB with his 26 home runs. Teammate Ryan Rua sits right behind him with 25 bombs.
