Crawdads Set Strikeout Mark in Win over Suns

In the 6-0 win by Hickory over Hagerstown, Jake Brigham and Martin Perez combined to set a franchise mark with 17 strikeouts in a game.
The previous record was 16 set by Jason Lakman on July 31, 1997 in a 4-0 loss to Augusta at LP Frans Stadium. Lakman still holds the mark for most strikeouts in a game by an individual.
Brigham struck out 8 over the first 5 innings of work, followed by Perez, who had 9 K's in the final 4 innings.
