San Antonio Rampage News Release

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Brendan Bell to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Bell, 24, appeared in two games for the Coyotes this season after being recalled from San Antonio on Nov. 14. Prior to that, he had recorded 4-5-9 and 12 penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with San Antonio this season. At the time if his recall, he led all Rampage defensemen in goals and ranked second among Rampage defensemen in points.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound defenseman played in 14 games and collected two assists for the Coyotes last season after being acquired from Toronto on Feb. 27, 2007 with a second round choice in the 2008 Entry Draft for Yanic Perreault and a fifth round choice in the 2008 Entry Draft.

For his NHL career, Bell has registered 1-6-7 and 27 PIM in 48 career games with Toronto and Phoenix.
