 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

November 4, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

It will be a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals, as the Kalamazoo Wings travel to the WesBanco Arena this evening to battle the Wheeling Nailers. Last season, the K-Wings captured the Eastern Conference crown over the Nailers in six games.

Owning the second-best record (4-1-0-0) in the Eastern Conference, the K-Wings enter tonight atop of the North Division, two points better than the Chicago Express. Tonight will begin a two-game road swing for Kalamazoo, who is 1-1-0-0 away from Wings Stadium this season.

While the K-Wings have the second-best record in the league, the Nailers can make claim to the best record in the entire ECHL. With a record of 5-0-0-0, Wheeling is the last remaining undefeated team in the league. The Nailers hold a three-point lead for first-place in the Atlantic Division over the Reading Royals.
