 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

October 22, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

After playing each other twice in the preseason, the Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye will battle for real tonight in the regular season. While tonight is their first regular season encounter this season, the K-Wings did win last season's series over the Walleye with a record of 7-4-2-0.

It's been two weeks since their last preseason contest, so the K-Wings are ready to hit the ice for real. Kalamazoo is one of two teams (South Carolina) that will be making their season debut this evening. The K-Wings spilt their two preseason clashes with Toledo, with their lone defeat coming at the Huntington Center.

While the K-Wings were idle last weekend, the Walleye battled the Wheeling Nailers. Toledo shutout Wheeling 4-0 at the WesBanko Arena in Wheeling last Friday, but on Saturday, it was the Nailers that returned the favor by defeating the Walleye 6-0 back in Toledo at the Huntington Center.
