Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Toledo Walleye

The Kalamazoo Wings will begin a four-game week by traveling to the Huntington Center to take on the Toledo Walleye. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-2-0-0 against the Walleye, which includes a 3-1 loss on November 2nd in Kalamazoo only other appearance at the Huntington Center.
Kalamazoo's six-game road winning streak was snapped last Saturday with a 5-2 loss to the Reading Royals. Despite the loss, the K-Wings have been red-hot on the road earning a record of 8-2-0-0 in their last 10 road contests.
Tonight is the final home game in the 2013 portion of the Walleye's schedule. Toledo is 5-6-0-0 at the Huntington Center this season. The Walleye enter tonight looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Toledo's last victory occurred on December 20th with a 2-1 victory at Wings Stadium against Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo's six-game road winning streak was snapped with a 5-2 loss last Saturday to the Reading Royals. The six-game streak was the longest road winning streak in K-Wings ECHL history.
Boxed In
Kalamazoo established a their own team ECHL records for both penalty minutes in a game (70) and in a single period (51 in the third period) during last Saturday's game against Reading. The 70 minutes in penalties were the most for the K-Wings since the 2005-06 season when they registered 106 PIMS against the Muskegon Fury (UHL); the organization's record for most PIMS in a single-game is 151against the Milwaukee Admirals (IHL) during the 1989-90 season.
