Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Fort Wayne Komets

The Kalamazoo Wings will start the month of February against the team they ended January with, the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo lost the first half of the home-and-home series on Wednesday night at Wings Stadium by the final of 2-1.
Having their five-game overall (3-0-2-0) unbeaten streak snapped on Wednesday by the Komets, the K-Wings head into Allen County Memorial Coliseum looking extend a different streak. Kalamazoo is unbeaten in regulation in their last four games (3-0-1-0).
Before they hit the road for five straight games, Fort Wayne returns home this evening to start a brief two-game home stand. On the season, the Komets are 10-12-0-0 at the coliseum, which includes are a record of 3-1-0-0 against the K-Wings.

Flying High Kalamazoo finished the month of January with a record of 6-5-2-0. The six victories were the most in a calendar month this season for the K-Wings.
Most Exciting Play in Hockey Last Friday, forward John Armstrong received a penalty shot chance against Toledo. The penalty shot opportunity was the first taken this season by the K-Wings and the first for Kalamazoo since March 28, 2012, also against the Walleye.

Heating Up The K-Wings enter Allen County Memorial Coliseum on a four-game (3-0-1-0) road unbeaten streak in regulation. The four-game streak is a season high for the K-Wings.
