Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Cincinnati Cyclones

For the ninth time this season the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. Including tonight, the two teams have met six times in the past six weeks. After this evening, the division rivals will square off two more times, both at the US Bank Arena.

The K-Wings are gaining come traction in the ECHL. Kalamazoo snapped a two-game road losing streak and in the process extended their unbeaten streak in regulation to four games (3-0-1-0) with a 3-2 overtime victory Wednesday night at against the Fort Wayne Komets.

Cincinnati will start a brief two-game home stand this evening. Starting on Sunday, the Cyclones will commence a season-long tying six-game road swing. The Cyclones are 8-5-1-0 this season in the games played at the US Bank Arena.

Good Things Come in Threes

Defenseman Dustin Cloutier enters tonight looking to extend a streak. Cloutier has earned points (2 goals, 1 assist) in all three games he has played this season for the K-Wings.

Scoring in the Clutch Kalamazoo's Matt Caria earned the game winning goal in Kalamazoo's 3-2 overtime victory on Wednesday against the Fort Wayne Komets. The goal was Caria's team-leading third game-winning goal this season.

Ending a Drought

Forward Chris Lawrence broke a scoring drought with his goal against the Toledo Walleye last Saturday. The goal was Lawrence's second of the season and his first since October 26th versus the Evansville IceMen, a span of 28 games.

Rolling Along

Kalamazoo enters the US Bank Arena looking to extend a streak. The K-Wings are unbeaten in regulation in their last four games (3-0-1-0).
