Prince George Cougars News Release

Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club in conjunction with 94X FM and The Wolf 97 FM are encouraging fans to "˜Gift Card It Forward' at the game on Monday, March 4th, 2013 against the Tri-City Americans.

How it works: Fans can bring any full or partially used gift cards to Monday's game, where they will be collected and converted into cash. All proceeds raised will then go evenly to the Rotary Club of Prince George and the Child Development Centre of Prince George to enhance the lives of children and youth directly in Prince George. Monday's game will be the last chance for fans to participate in the "˜Gift Card It Forward' fundraiser.

"We are very happy to be able to participate in this initiative," said Prince George Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. "Both the Rotary Club of Prince George and the Child Development Centre of Prince George are so important to our community. We will do whatever we can to help contribute to their continued success."

The Rotary Club of Prince George is fundraising for two projects: A skateboard park in the Hart area and a riverfront float park on the Nechako.
